What an amazing gift Randy Pausch has left for his family, and what a marvelous treasure for the rest of us who have had the opportunity to read it. It is evident that Mr. Pausch was a gifted man in many ways; not only mentally and physically, but spiritually as well. He was one of those few extraordinary individuals who really understood what matters most in this world and who lived his life with a zest and vigor that few ever dream of. His words were a gentle reminder to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment, before you are told you have a life-threatening illness.
He revealed his innermost thoughts, his heart and soul… and the message, though truly written for his wife and children, was very relevant to each of us. It was incredibly moving and insightful, and also gave the back story to his famous “Last Lecture” at Carnegie Mellon.
Rare is the book that I want to buy for each of my family members and closest friends; but this is certainly one of those gems. Of course, I’ll have to include a box of tissues with each of the books.
