I just loved the wide array of characters in this book. The author did a splendid job of describing each character and setting the scene for a true adventure through the magical world of a traveling circus. The vivid detail is intoxicating, and truly made me feel as though I was physically attending the circus, myself. I do believe that some of the characters could have been explored a more deeply: Isobel, for example. All in all, it is delightfully intriguing and a delicious read.
