So I won't go into detail about how, exactly, I ended up reading this book... long story. Suffice to say, I've never read a romance novel, never mind a Christian romance novel... So, my rating is based more upon the fact that this genre is just not for me. It's too "dreamy" for me to stomach... However, I have to give the author credit for her poetic diction ("ingratiating smile", "perusing her in such an abominable fashion", "the leering promise", "anguished whisper", "the discomfiture etched into [his] features")... I'm a sucker for great vocabulary!
Other than that, it was a bit of a juvenile storyline... sweet indeed, but I often found myself thinking it was silly. However, if you love romance novels sprinkled with bible quotes, then this is the book for you!
