๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ Thunderstruck & Other Stories, by Elizabeth McCracken

This collection of short stories was so haunting... filled with moments so brief, yet so disturbing. It was as if the author wrote stories designed to unsettle.  I was certainly left disconsolate.

However, I can't discount the author's talent. Despite the heft of the stories, I appreciate McCracken's ability to make the reader ponder life.  She sheds light on love and loss, and how ephemeral it can all be. Plus, with such exquisite vocabulary, who can resist?
