๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ The Perfect Son, by Barbara Claypole White

Though there were some redeeming qualities to this novel that kept me interested, for the most part, it lacked depth and heart. The plot was middle-of-the-road, the character development was weak, and the finale was completely contrived and disappointing. The difficulty is that the story had great potential, but it lacked originality.

I valued the author’s research with respect to Tourette Syndrome and heart conditions, and must admit I learned a few things while reading the novel. I can certainly appreciate her eagerness to delve into both issues, and I must admit that she did a solid job in presenting facts about each.

Overall, the novel was interesting, but certainly lacked some key elements that would’ve made it outstanding.
