๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ: Mr. Dickens and His Carol, by Samantha Silva

Mr. Dickens and His Carol
Mr. Dickens and his Carol was a sweet holiday novel, that definitely gave me all the Christmases of Yore feels๐ŸŽ„! I admit that it was fun to read a fictional story about Charles Dickens that spurred me to research further into his life. Did you know he and his wife had 10 children!!! And I thought had a gaggle๐Ÿ˜ฒ!!!

Now I don't want to be a Scrooge (couldn't resist๐Ÿคญ), but... I admit I struggle with even the possibility of infidelity in any novel. So, when I spent much of the novel worrying about the muse described in the blurb, I probably lost some of the spirit intended by the author๐Ÿคท‍♀️. This is not a spoiler, as she is mentioned in the description, but this is the reason I rarely read the summaries ahead of time - it ruins parts of novels for me๐Ÿ˜ฉ.

Overall, in the spirit of the season, it is one you might enjoy just for the Christmasy feels I mentioned! No bah humbugs allowed๐ŸŽ…!
