❤My heart is full❤. Y'all, this book!!! Now I know I've mentioned Cara Sue Achterberg can write, but oh what a story this time!!! I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I just love an author with heart, and that's one thing Ms. Achterberg is certainly not lacking.
πThis story takes the reader on a journey that is every parent's worst nightmare - and every child's worst fear. The turn of events in this novel would test the best of us, and if I'm honest, would quite possibly break me.
πCara Sue has crafted a story so heartrending, so raw, that I found myself completely engrossed in the outcome for these characters. The beauty with which she crafted Jess and Liz made me want to give them a big hug and cry right alongside them.
πIt also called to mind the ephemeral quality of our lives - that things can change in an instant. And of course, I immediately reminded my teens of the dangers of distracted driving.
❤This story filled my heart, reminded me of the importance of forgiveness, and renewed my faith in the human spirit.
