Big Summer

๐Ÿคท‍♀️Well, this was definitely a book that was way out of my comfort zone! I'd heard so much about it last summer, so when I saw it at our local book store, I thought, why not?! I never read the synopsis (not that it would've prepared me), and just dove right in!

๐Ÿค”Well... it was SO far from what I expected!!! I was ready for a light, fun beach read, and while it began that way, it certainly took a turn! Suddenly, I was reading a murder mystery๐Ÿ˜ฑ! WT... Yep, took me completely by surprise, and seemed very out of the blue๐Ÿ˜ฒ!

๐Ÿคท‍♀️Sooo... while it kept my attention for the most part, the setting was fabulous, and I just adored the cover, it just wasn't really my cup of tea. Character development was a bit better than in All Fall Down, but I still felt little attachment to any of the individuals, including the protagonist.

๐Ÿ™ˆSorry about the unpopular opinion!
