The Threat Below The Threat Below by Jason Latshaw
My You may or may not know I'm a sucker for a good Dystopian novel. And I was really excited when the author of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 π‘©π’†π’π’π’˜ reached out to me!

What a fascinating concept! And I love a book that moves along at a fast clip. I really wanted to know what the heck the threat was, so the book kept me engaged from the get-go.

I would describe this novel as Divergent meets Mazerunner - with the different classes in a Dystopian society having demarcated roles while living near a life-threatening unknown creature "outside the wall". I appreciated the nod to Earth's sea levels rising due to global warming and other calamities we're bringing upon ourselves.

If you're a fan of YA writing and differing POVs, this novel is for you. There are some rather unbelievable situations that may cause an eyeroll here and there, but for some reason, I just don't mind that in Dystopians🀷‍♀️ - it just works for me. It's one of the few genres where I don't struggle with suspension of disbelief.

Kudos to @jasonsethlatshaw for a well-written, intriguing novel and many thanks for gifting me with a copy in exchange for an honest review!

Read 10/21
