A True Account
What a swashbuckling adventure on the high seas! I knew as soon as Kaye Publicity reached out to share Katherine Howe's newest novel, that it would be right up my alley! From beginning to end, it was an exciting voyage, and I was taken with Hannah from the first sentence, "β„‘ 𝔑𝔬𝔫'𝔱 𝔨𝔫𝔬𝔴 𝔴π”₯π”žπ”± π”ͺπ”žπ”‘π”’ π”ͺ𝔒 𝔑𝔒𝔱𝔒𝔯π”ͺ𝔦𝔫𝔒𝔑 𝔱𝔬 𝔀𝔬 𝔱𝔬 𝔱π”₯𝔒 π”₯π”žπ”«π”€π”¦π”«π”€."

I knew so little about the Golden Age of Piracy and was more than happy to learn more about it through Hannah Masury's eyes. Having to disguise herself as a cabin boy on the terrifying Ned Lowe's ship to escape her demise, Hannah proves resourceful and cunning as she makes her way in a man's world. I couldn't help but root for her through the entire story.

Beware me hearties, there is some violence that was very common in these times, though the most gruesome events were pulled right from the pages of history.

Bravo Ms. Howe! What a fantastic story, uncovering unexplored history and sharing a true treasure of a novel!

Many thanks to Kaye Publicity and Henry Holt Books for sharing such a rich story!
