๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ My Name is Resolute, by Nancy E. Turner

This was quite a saga. Having absolutely adored Nancy Turner’s, “These is my Words,” I must admit, I had incredibly high expectations for her newest novel. Sadly, nothing could quite compare to Sarah’s resplendent story. Though I did appreciate the author’s inventiveness, woven together with historical fact, I seemed to trudge through this long-winded narration. Much of it seemed far-fetched for one lifetime. Also, whereas Ms. Turner was absolutely brilliant with her characterizations in previous novels, she fell short this time around. I felt little for any characters other than Resolute, and even that emotion was fickle.

I believe that the sheer volume of information she attempts to convey leaves the reader feeling completely expended; rather than informed. Though there was certainly rich content in this novel, it was overwhelmed by verbosity, and unnecessary content. Therefore, while parts of this novel were enjoyable, I felt that it was mediocre, compared to what Ms. Turner is capable of.
