๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ These Is My Words, by Nancy E. Turner

I could've filled a bucket with my tears as I finished this book. I can't remember ever crying this much over a work of historical fiction. What a beautiful story.

I felt as if the characters were part of my family; Sarah was like a sister. How I loved her - I felt her sorrow, her joy, her frustration, and longing. She was indeed, a formidable woman; her feistiness was infectious! I found myself cheering out loud for her more than once and her honesty was refreshing.

I truly enjoyed how the author used literacy as a major plot element. It was inspiring to witness her educational progress through her written word.

The love story was just icing on the cake; I'd love to say more about that, but won't ruin it for you.

It made it that much more interesting that the story took place in and around my hometown of Tucson, AZ. The historical accuracy was impressive.

LOVED IT!!!
