๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ When Breath Becomes Air, by Paul Kalanithi

Paul Kalanithi writes with such an authentic voice, that I was left spellbound by his words. Not only was he an amazing Doctor, but he was a lyrical genius. What a beautiful gift he left for his family, and by extension, for the rest of us. He had profound insight into a myriad of things, and seemed to have a heart of gold. He was indeed, a force to be reckoned with in this life.

Our delicate, most ethereal life, is but a blip on the radar, in the scheme of things. It is nothing, and yet it is everything… Kalanithi manages to express this sentiment through the context of his life as a surgeon, husband, and father in a uniquely sublime manner. This is one of those books that made me reflect on life, and to be grateful for the time I have been given to do what I love, with those I love.

His wife’s epilogue was absolutely beautiful and so thought-provoking. Her words are an inspiring tribute to a man who really impacted this world in a positive manner.
