๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ: The River We Remember, by William Kent Krueger

The River We Remember
Well, @williamkentkrueger has gone and done it again. This author strikes such a fine balance within his novels. While topics are often heavy, he is able to bring a levity to situations in his story with an overriding sense of calm, usually through one or more of his characters and by way of reflective scenes.

The best part of his books is how atmospheric they are. The settings he creates invoke such intense feeling. The mood is tangible, and the small-town backdrop is spot on. To boot, somehow, he cultivates such a bond between the reader and his characters every. single. time. I absolutely felt like I was part of this small community and sensed a bond with several of its people.

Mr. Krueger is also the king of foreshadowing - honestly, nobody does it better, and I just never catch it until the revelation is upon me! The fun part is that each time I read a novel of his, I am always guaranteed an AHA! moment. Speaking of which, once again, he included a whodunit mystery and suspense, some historical fiction, and his absolute fortรฉ: coming-of-age fiction. I was absolutely intrigued with the Native American history he shared that I knew nothing about.

I could go on and on, but ya' know what, just buy the book already! You won't be disappointed, and then you'll understand exactly why William Kent Krueger is an auto-buy author for me.

Many thanks to partners @atriabooks and @simonandschuster for this #gifted review copy. It was splendid!
