๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ The Julian Chapter, by R.J. Palacio
I loved *Wonder*, and was just as taken with this, *The Julian Chapter*. I am amazed with the author's ability to weave such complex points of view into her works. I never felt as though Ms. Palacios lends excuses for Julian's behavior, but rather allows the reader to go through his thought-process, his journey. She delves further into the "how" of it, rather than the "why". I must admit, I despised Julian no less throughout the majority of this book; however, in the end, I was still left with a smile. I also get the sense that Palacios had a fantastic relationship with her own grandparents, because in both novels, she depicts them in such a way that leaves the reader feeling such appreciation for these wise and wonderful family members. Both books were sweet, simple, and superb!
